Alphabet shares in Frankfurt rise 1.8% after results

LONDON : Shares of Google parent Alphabet rose 1.8 per cent in Frankfurt on Wednesday a day after the company said its AI investments were “paying off” as its earnings and revenue came in ahead of analyst’s expectations.

Its U.S. shares rose nearly 6 per cent in after-market trading from Tuesday’s official close of $169.68.
