When the DBS yuu card was first introduced in 2022, the only thing I remembered was the jingle by Gurmit Singh that played constantly on loop across all DFI stores. If you are willing to look past this annoyance like I did, you would notice that the card benefits are quite compelling especially with the 18% cashback awarded on participating yuu merchants. This 18% cashback, which comprised of a 13% bonus cashback, was initially planned to be a time-limited promotion to accompany its launch. Not only has this benefit been made permanent, DBS cards team has also been working overtime to add more merchants on board and sweeten its sign-up promotion. This makes the DBS yuu Credit Card my favourite cashback card of all time (ever since I started collecting them) and what I think is probably the best cashback card in Singapore at this moment hands down. Let me explain why you should apply for the DBS yuu Card to milk all its benefits.
1) 18% Cash Rebates Promotion Becomes Permanent
Good news to all DBS yuu card holders as they have decided to extend the bonus cash rebates promotion to make it a permanent feature. When the bonus cash rebate (13%) is added to the base cash rebate (5%), it adds up to a very attractive 18% cash rebate which can be earned at participating yuu merchants as shown in Diagram 1.

As far as I am aware, no other cashback credit card in Singapore offers 18% cash rebate, even on selected categories and merchants! This represents outstanding value and card holders should continue to make hay while the sun shines.
