Some interesting stats on REITs:
Average dividend yield of REITs: 6.4%
Average dividend yield of Top 10 REITs: 5.8%
Larger REITs tend to have more diversified asset bases and lower costs of funding and are safer than their smaller counterparts.
The top 10 REITs tend to feature more REITs which are government linked which is a big plus in my book.
